Manipur's daily COVID-19 positivity rate rises to 3.1 pc

Of the 163 total sample test results received on Friday, five more people were detected with COVID-19 in Manipur.

Manipur on Friday reported no new deaths, but five new positive cases were found from the 163 total sample test results received, and the daily positivity rate rose to 3.1 per cent, official sources said.

Consequently the state's death toll remained 2,149, while the cumulative positive caseload reached 1,39,876 and 16,59,771 test results have been recieved so far.

Of the total new positive cases, Churachandpur reported one new case while Imphal East and Imphal West reported two new cases each.

A total of 15 persons were discharged on Friday. The number of active COVID-19 cases is 12. The recovery rate is 98.46 per cent.

The number of doses of COVID- 19 vaccine administered on October 27 is 158. The cumulative doses administered so far are 32,53,648. Of the total, the first dose is 16,47,215, second dose is 1,33,022 and precautionary dose is 2,73,411.
