Manipur's COVID-19 caseload on Wednesday surged to 29,305 as seven more persons were confirmed as new positive cases, according to the state health department.
With the new positive cases, the number of active cases in the state has risen to 35, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
As per the release, the new positive cases included two from Imphal West, one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kakching, Senapati and Tengnoupal.
All medical necessary precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release stated.
While the death toll remained at 373, the cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 28,897 with two new recoveries. The state's recovery rate reached 98.60 per cent, it added.
It further stated that 1,806 more people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state and the cumulative number of people vaccinated has risen to 72,387. The number of healthcare workers vaccinated is 30,551, it added.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
