The daily new COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur dropped to five on Tuesday, while no deaths were reported, according to the latest update by the state health department.
Of the new cases, two were reported from Imphal East, while Imphal West, Thoubal and Kamjong reported one case each, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were taken up, the release stated.
With the new positive cases, the cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,39,625, including 2,145 deaths and 1,37,393 recoveries, as per the releases. The number of active cases is 87 and recovery rate is 98.40 per cent with 20 new recoveries on Tuesday.
As on August 22, a total of 470 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 37 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, it added.
Meanwhile, the cumulative COVID-19 vaccinination coverage in the state has reached 31,58.520, including 2,35,263 precaution doses.
