Manipur reports zero death, five new COVID-19 positive cases

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, two new COVID-19 cases were reported from Kakching and one cases each from Bishnupur, Imphal East and Ukhrul.

Manipur on Monday recorded five new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,36,903 while the death toll remained at 2,115 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.5 per cent.

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, two new COVID-19 cases were reported from Kakching and one cases each from Bishnupur, Imphal East and Ukhrul.

The state also recorded 134 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,669. The recovery rate is 98.37 per cent. Manipur now has 119 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 252 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 76 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,29,314 (first dose: 15,16,809 second dose: 11,51,307 precautionary dose: 61,198).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.16 per cent and for the second dose is 49.18 per cent, it mentioned.
