Manipur reports two new COVID-19 positive cases, tally at 1,37,203

Manipur has 34 COVID-19 active cases as of Wednesday.

Manipur on Wednesday recorded two new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,203 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 0.7 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the two COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, one case each was from Imphal East and Ukhrul.

The state also reported 23 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,049. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 34 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 133 oxygen cylinders and 10 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,18,199 (first dose: 15,51,240 second dose: 11,94,614 precautionary dose: 72,345).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.63 per cent and for the second dose is 51.01 per cent, it mentioned.
