Manipur reports 15 new COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

The state recorded 13 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,565. The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent.

Manipur's daily COVID-19 positivity rate fell to 1.1 per cent on Tuesday as the state recorded 15 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,25,747 while the death toll remained at 2,002 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.1 per cent.

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, 10 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another two cases from Jiribam and one each from from Bishnupur, Chandel and Thoubal. 

The state also recorded 13 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,565. The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent. Manipur now has 180 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 230 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 26 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 23,01,450 (first dose: 13,20,657 second dose: 9,80,793). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.41 per cent and for the second dose is 41.90  per cent, it mentioned.
