Manipur continued to witness an uptrend in the daily COVID-19 cases. On Friday, the state recorded a total of 89 new COVID-19 cases and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,37,779 and confining the death toll at 2,120.
The day's positivity rate is 14.8 per cent.
Of the 89 new positive cases, 39 cases were from Imphal West, 28 from Imphal East, seven from Kakching, five from Thoubal, two each from Jiribam and Ukhrul and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Senapati and Tengnoupal.
According to the latest update by the state health department, a total of 601 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Friday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,19,063 COVID-19 tests.
The state also recorded 24 new COVID-19 recoveries increasing the number of recovered cases to 1,35,274 and the recovery rate is 98.18 per cent. Manipur now has 385 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Meanwhile, a total of 99 D-type oxygen cylinders and 19 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of July 14.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,96,068 (first dose: 16,01,439 second dose: 12,70,179,765 and precautionary dose: 1,24,450).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.4 per cent and for the second dose is 53.46 per cent, it mentioned.
