Manipur's COVID-19 tally on Wednesday soared to 57,351 as 775 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours, sources said.
The state's COVID-19 death toll also mounted to 915 after seven more patients succumbed to the infection during the same period, an update by the state health department stated.
Imphal West reported three deaths, while one death case each was reported from Churachandpur, Imphal East, Kakching and Thoubal, it stated.
The new COVID-19 positive cases included 237 from Imphal West, 165 from Imphal East, 112 from Thoubal, 109 from Churachandpur, 57 from Kakching, 48 from Bishnupur, 13 from Kangpokpi, 10 from Chandel, eight each from Senapati and Jiribam, four from Tengnoupal, two from Noney and one each from Ukhrul and Tamenglong, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
Meanwhile, 602 new recoveries pushed the cumulative number of recovered cases to 47,129. With it, the number of COVID-19 active cases stands at 9,307 and the recovery rate is 82.17 per cent, it stated.
The release further stated that 1,401 D type oxygen cylinders and 552 B type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the state in the last 24 hours.
The number of persons vaccinated in Manipur reached 4,41,745, it added.
