India's single day COVID-19 death toll falls to two

According to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India's COVID-19 death toll reached 5,30,638 as of 8 am Wednesday.

As COVID-19 pandemic contiues to wane in India, the country's single day COVID-19 death tally plunged to two, as per the latest updated bulletin of the Union Health Ministry.

According to the ministry, India's COVID-19 death toll reached 5,30,638 as of 8 am Wednesday, while the confirmed caseload touched 4,46,73,949 and the recovered cases mounted to 4,41,39,056. Following it, the number of COVID-19 active cases nationwide dropped to 4,255. The active rate recorded was 0.01 per cent.

Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra today has the highest number of active caseload of 1618, 1520 and 273 respectively.

Meanwhile, in Northeast India, Manipur's COVID-19 active cases dropped to one on Tuesday, while there has been no report of any new positive cases in Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland.

So far, India has tested 90,78,09,042 samples up to December 6, while 2,19,94,80,322 Covid vaccine doses have been administered countrywide.
