India reports 6,660 new COVID-19 positive cases

New positive cases pushed India's active caseload to 63,380, active cases stood at 0.14 per cent.

A total of 6,660 new COVID-19 positive cases were recorded across India, and the daily positivity rate rose to 3.52 per cent and the weekly positivity rate recorded was 5.42 per cent, official sources said.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the new positive cases pushed India's active caseload to 63,380, active cases stood at 0.14 per cent.

The recovery rate currently stood at 98.67 per cent as 9,213 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of recoveries reached 4,43,11,078, as per the latest update.

Also, 220.66 crore total vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. A total of 4,943 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 92.56 crore total tests have been conducted so far, with 1,89,087 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the ministry stated.
