India COVID-19 Update: 734 new positive cases, three deaths in 24 hours

The number of active COVID-19 cases in India stood at 12,307, comprising 0.03 per cent of the total positive cases, according to the Union Health Ministry.

India on Sunday reported 734 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country's tally to 4,46,66,377, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.

The country also recorded three more COVID-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 5,30,531.

As per the data updated by the Health Ministry on its website, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country stood at 12,307, comprising 0.03 per cent of the total positive cases.

The number of COVID-19 recovered cases surged to 4,41,23,539 with 977 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. While the national COVID-19 recovery rate stood at 98.78 per cent, the national fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 per cent as on Sunday.

Meanwhile, as many as 2,19,80,01,694 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have so far been administered in the country under the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the ministry's website.
