The cumulative number of air passengers confirmed COVID-19 positive at Imphal airport reached 50 on Saturday as four more who arrived at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport from outside the state tested positive for the infection.
In all, 11 more people in the state tested positive for COVID-19, pushing the total caseload to 29,486, while there were no reports of case fatality on Saturday, according to the latest updates from the state health department.
The new COVID-19 positive cases included five from Imphal West, two from Imphal East and one each from Chandel, Kamjong, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul.
With the new positive cases, the number of active cases increased to 101 while the total number of recovered cases is 29,010, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
It further asked air passengers who travelled to the state on April 8 by Air India flight AI-889 seated in rows 6-12; on April 9 by Indigo flight 6E-2251 in rows 1-7 and Indigo flight 6E-618 in rows 1-7 to inform the Common COVID Control Room at 18003453818 or District Surveillance Officers (DSOs) immediately.
