Staff nurse of District Hospital Thoubal Kh Anita in collaboration with COVID-19 isolation team of the hospital organised a one-day health check up camp for post Covid patients who are above 60 years of age, at MOPD of District Hospital Thoubal on Monday.

As part of the check up camp, facilities including X-rays, blood tests, and urine tests were provided along with experts’ demonstration of simple exercises to boost the immune system.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh Anita said that she had been taking the charge of supervisor of the COVID-19 isolation team of the District Hospital Thoubal, since its inception in March 2020. She added that the health camp was being conducted after getting permission from the medical superintendent, CMO Thoubal and other higher authorities. She asserted that the camp had been conducted with the aim to aid the elderly post Covid affected patients in their necessary routine check up to monitor their health conditions.

The event was attended by chief medical officer Thoubal Dr Y Nokul and Emergency Medicine Doctor of District Hospital Thoubal Dr E Sandipkumar. The event concluded with distribution of shawls, donated by Kh Anita to the elderly patients.
