Manipur on Wednesday reported five new COVID-19 cases from five different testing centres in the last 24 hours, official sources said.
The COVID-19 Common Control Room on Wednesday stated in a release that two males and three females tested positive for COVID-19.
The new positive cases include two from Imphal East, and one each from Imphal West, Churachandpur and Senapati. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported no cases of deaths caused by COVID-19. The cumulative number of deaths remained 2,148.
Only two persons were discharged after completion of surveillance.
The cumulative number of positive cases stands at 1,39,773, recovered cases at 1.37,597 number of active cases at 28 and recovery rate at 98.44 per cent.
As on September 13, a total of 100 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 11 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
The number of doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered on September 13 is 2,055. The cumulative number of doses administered so far is 3209332. Of the total; the cumulative number of the first dose is 1638235, second dose is 1315329 and precautionary dose is 255768.
