India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,88,89,90,935 beneficiaries, while a total of 2,79,86,138 people have received the precaution dose so far as per the provisional reports as on Saturday.
According to a release by the Union Health Ministry, so far, 2,86,98,710 adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
So far, a total of 1,00,16,505 healthcare workers have been vaccinated with second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. And, 47,94,775 of them were administered the precaution dose.
A total of 1,75,39,302 frontline workers have been administered the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 75,91,757 FLW have recieved the precaution dose.
A total of 65,99,218 children in 12-14 years age group have recieved the second COVID-19 vaccine dose, so far, while 4,22,40,428 children in 15-19 years age group have been vaccinated with the second COVID-19 vaccine dose.
The COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years started on April 10, 2022, COVID-19 vaccination for the age group 12-14 years started on 16 March, 2022.
Meanwhile, India’s Active Caseload stood at 18,684 as 3,688 new cases were reported on Saturday morning. Active cases now constitute 0.04% of the country's total Positive Cases.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74%. 2,755 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,25,33,377.
India has so far conducted over 83.74 Cr (83,74,42,023) cumulative tests. Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.66% and the Daily Positivity rate is also reported to be 0.74%.
