Covid-19 claims three more lives; death toll rises to 2083

Imphal West, Imphal East and Kangpokpi districts reported one death each, according to a release by the Covid-19 common control room.

Manipur on Sunday reported 90 more Covid-19 positive cases, including one security personnel, and three deaths, taking the state's death toll to 2,083 and the confirmed caseload to 1,35,438, according to the latest updates by the state Health department.

Imphal West, Imphal East and Kangpokpi districts reported one death each, according to a release by the Covid-19 common control room.

Of the new positive cases, 26 are from Imphal West, 20 from Imphal East, 13 from Churachandpur, 11 from Bishnupur, Eight from Thoubal, eight from Kakching, Two each from Kangpokpi, Senapati and Tamenglong and one from Ukhrul, the release stated.

Following it, the Covid-19 active cases stood at 2,289 as of Sundayadded. Of the total active cases, 92 are personnel of the Central security forces, the release added.

The release further stated that 139 more patients recovered and the total recoveries reached 1,31,486 so far. With it, the recovery rate stood at 96.80 per cent, according to the release.
