Under GiveIndia’s India COVID Response Fund 2.0 (ICRF 2.0), a financial assistance of Rs 30,000 each was provided by Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) to six people whose family members had died during COVID-19 second wave since March this year.
The beneficiaries were credited with the cash amount along with delivery certificates by CCI director, Pauzagin Tonsing on Thursday. The distribution of financial aid was held at CCI conference hall, Nehru Marg, Churachandpur.
So far, CCI has extended financial aid to 10 COVID-19 affected families during the second wave. Under ICRF 2.0, a total of 23 beneficiaries have been approved by CCI from the 60 families which have been shortlisted for the financial aid.
During the occasion, Tonsing said that CCI may be the only one in the state which is in coordination with GiveIndia. He further asked all the eligible COVID-19 affected families to apply for the financial aid under ICRF 2.0.
