The All Tribal Women Union (ATWU), Churachandpur has appealed to the state government to resume RT-PCR testing of samples collected from Churachandpur at RIMS and JNIMS and provide a provision of the testing kit in the district.
The women union claimed that there is an issue with the testing as COVID-19 positive cases are rising in the district after the said testing was stopped on October 17.
Meanwhile, Churachandpur has recorded eight new positive cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, which is mostly from local transmission. With the new detection, the district has now recorded 1,297 positive cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths .
After being announced to strictly maintain the SOPs given by the authority concerned for COVID-19 from Monday onwards, Churachandpur police have registered 12 cases for violating of the guidelines on Tuesday.
