Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu tests COVID-19 positive

The CM said he is asymptomatic and is self isolating as per COVID SOPs.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The chief minister took to social media platform Facebook and Twitter and posted that he tested positive for COVID-19 but is asymptomatic and is self isolating as per COVID SOPs. He also appealed to those who came in contact with him to isolate themselves and follow the SOPs.

"I had undergone Covid test RT-PCR and have tested positive for Covid19. I am asymptomatic and feeling healthy. However as per SOP and safety of others, I am self isolating myself and request everyone who came in contact with me to adhere to the SOP," the CM tweeted on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, Manipur Chief N Biren Singh, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Paton, among others wished and prayed for Khandu's speedy recovery.
