The premiere show of a play entitled “Tangoi” was held on Sunday at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy.

The play was produced by The Ascent Repertory Theatre (ART), Imphal under the sponsorship of Cultural Function and Production Grant (CFPG) given by the Union Culture Ministry.
The programme was attended by president of Manipur Cultural Council Kangjam Radhakumar Singh; president of Theatre Centre Manipur also a padmashree awardee Wareppa Naba and president of Critics Forum Manipur Lamabam Gojendra as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The play was directed and designed by Md Juma Khan with Niladhaja Khuman as its playwright.
