Manipur Cultural Festival 2022-23 ends

Each participating artistes in the festival was provided a certificate of recognition and appreciation.

The two-day 8th Manipur Cultural Festival 2022-23 held at Sagolmang Community Hall in Imphal East concluded on Sunday.

During the festival, as many as eight disciplines were performed by various students and gurus which included Pena Seishak, Manipuri Classical Dance (duet), Wari Phaibok, Pung Cholom, Maibi Laiching Jagoi, Manipuri Classical Dance (solo), Kabui Jagoi and Dhol Dhulok Cholom.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, deputy director of Art and Culture, G Dharmadash Sharma, stressed the need of maintaining documents and proof such as photographs and videos in order to avail the benefits from the government.

Each of the participating artistes in the festival was provided a certificate of recognition and appreciation.

The festival, organised by the TG Foundation of Arts and Culture (TG-FAOC) under the aegis of the Culture Ministry with the aim to encourage and uplift young artistes, was inaugurated by titular king of Manipur, Leishemba Sanajaoba, on Saturday. 

The programme was also attended by president of Cultural Workers and Activities Forum Manipur Budha Chingtham and pradhan guru of IN Manipur Dance Academy Ngaithem Ranjit as presidium members.
