Cultural delights mark Academy of Performing Arts Foundation Day 2022

Floral tributes were paid to the departed souls of the founding members of APA, Thoubal, and students of the academy presented various cultural performances.

Various cultural performances by students of the Academy of Performing Arts (APA), Thoubal marked the academy's Foundation Day 2022 celebration held at its Naran’s Enat Pukkei Cultural Hall at Thoubal Wangmataba in Thoubal district.

The 16th APA Foundation Day programme began with floral tributes to the departed souls of the founding members of APA, Thoubal. As a part of the celebration, the students of the academy presented various cultural performances.

The event was attended by Thoubal Municipal Council Ward No I former councillor Okram Inaotombi Devi as the chief guest, APA president Yengkhokpam Sarat Meitei as the president, Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi member Ak Priyokumar Singh as the guest of honour, and social activist and national awardee Maibam Eteen Meitei as the special guest.

It may be mentioned that on World Music Day, 2022 APA, Thoubal had organised a three-month-long workshop cum production on music and dance, along with a 45 days' training programme on drama, and a music festival as well.
