Loyalam Apunba Loumi Lup (LALLUP) on Tuesday stated that the organisation, under the aegis of the people, had commenced setting up protections for paddy fields in the peripheral regions to facilitate safe and secure paddy cultivation for farmers.
A release issued by LALLUP media coordinator Kh Roshan Singh stated that with trained volunteers standing guard around the paddy fields at Nongshum Village near Khamenlok, the farmers were able to cultivate their paddy fields without any untoward incidents.
It conveyed acknowledgements to the farmers for standing up to commence cultivation and produce agricultural products for the wellbeing of the state. LALLUP also assured that it will continue setting up protections for the cultivation lands at different peripheral regions in the state.
