Blood donation in Moreh: Tengnoupal Police-State Blood Cell conducts awareness campaign

The blood donation awareness campaign was organised to motivate people between the age group of 18-65 years in donating blood.

A voluntary blood donation awareness campaign was held in Moreh on Thursday to motivate people between the age group of 18-65 years in donating blood and to support the stock position of compatible blood units during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The awareness campaign was organised by the State Blood Cell, National Health Mission Manipur in collaboration with Tengnoupal Police.

As a resource person of the programme, Association of Voluntary Blood Donation Manipur, Thoubal Branch secretary, Nabakumar Tc highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The secretary spoke about the amount of blood one can donate, health benefits after donating blood, list of test performed on every donated unit of blood and the responsibilities of blood donors. The participants of the campaign were also encouraged to donate blood.

Moreh police personnel led by additional SP (Law and Order), Sangboi Gangte took part in the voluntary blood donation awareness campaign moderated by Moreh police SI J Baite

The programme was also attended by State Health Society, NHM Manipur state monitoring consultant, AK Karnabir Singh and Volunteer Association of Voluntary Blood Donors member, Th Churachand Singh.
