Delhi conducted as many as 21,144 COVID-19 tests on Friday, the highest number of COVID-19 tests conducted in a single day in the national capital so far, according to official sources.
“We have increased testing 4 times and is now following strategy of very aggressive testing and isolation,” Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 tally has risen to over five lakh with yet another highest single-day spike of 18,552 new cases.
The country reported 384 fatalities in last 24 hours, taking the nationwide toll to 15,685, according to the official data.
On Friday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who was earlier tested positive for Coronavirus, tested negative for the virus after treatment in a city hospital.
