The Rural Women Upliftment Society (RWUS), an NGO working for the upliftment of women and other weaker sections of the society provided face masks and hand sanitizers to ASHA workers and news reporters of Churachandpur on Tuesday.
In the program held at the office of RWUS, rice, foodstuff and other essential commodities including toothpaste, soap, sanitary pads etc. were provided to more than 1,000 people who have been registered for a livelihood programme.
In the following weeks, the RWUS plans to do more such activities at different quarantine centres in Churachandpur town. It will be in addition to the donation they made last week which includes 30 PPE and other sanitary kits to fight COVID-19. Churachandpur district hospital has housed eight positive cases as per the latest report.
