To combat the critical situation of COVID-19 in the state, Manipur Hockey has donated Rs 1.27 lakh to Chief Minister's COVID Relief Fund on Saturday. The donation amount has been contributed by members of Manipur Hockey and District Hockey units, with contribution amounts ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 20,000. Later, a team of Manipur Hockey led by president of Hockey India, Gyanendra Ningombam presented the amount to chief minister N Biren Singh at his official bungalow.
