A ‘3-Day Online Training Programme on Digital and E-Marketing’ was launched on Friday at the community hall of Yairipok Bishnunaha, Thoubal.
The programme was organised and sponsored by United NGO Forum, Yairipok under the aegis of ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and the nodal agency of Process and Product Development Center, Agra. The programme will be continuing for three days.
Chairman of United NGOs Forum, Yairipok, KN Singh told that artisans of various clusters of wood carving, honey processing, pineapple processing, kauna processing are being given works under the ministry of MSME.
The MSME sector has emerged as a dynamic sector of the Indian economy for the last five decades, he said. The sector has been contributing to bring socio-economic development for the country, he added.
Major contribution of MSME can be mentioned as providing opportunities at comparatively lower cost; help in industrialization of rural and backward areas; reduction of regional imbalance through the optimum utilization of their resources; more equitable distribution of national income and wealth; major partner in the process of inclusive growth, he added.
It is said that 10 artisans from five different implementing agencies under United NGO Forum, Yairipok, Manipur also attended the training programme.
