Churachandpur district recorded a stiff rise in COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday with seven new cases (six males and one female), out of which three are from military personnel and one returnee. With it, the active case tally in the district reached 26.
Meanwhile, the number of inoculated persons as part of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive under 'Tika Utsav' has reached 346 in Churachandpur.
More people are expected to get vaccinated as the vaccination festival has been extended for seven more days as per order by the director of Health Service Manipur and chairman of COVID Vaccination Core Committee, Dr K Rajo.
