The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland surged to 12,365 on Monday as two more persons tested positive for the viral infection, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
Taking to Twitter, the health minister said that the two new cases are from Dimapur and Tuensang, respectively. With it, the number of active cases is 136, Phom said.
"Update! 2 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today. Dimapur- 1, Tuensang- 1. Total +ve cases- 12365 Recovered- 11980 Active Cases- 136," Phom tweeted.
A total of 91 COVID-19 patients have died in Nagaland, of which 10 deaths are not due to COVID, the state health department said.
