Gangte Students' Organisation extends support to ATSUM

The GSO stated in a release that the demand to conduct the long delayed election for six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) is fully supported by the students' organisation.

The Gangte Students' Organisation (GSO), Churachandpur District has extended support to demands made by the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) for the welfare of the hill people.

The GSO stated in a release that the demand to conduct the long delayed election for six Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) is fully supported by the students' organisation. In connection with this, GSO has resolved to fully endorse the ATSUM’s 24-hours proposed bandh from midnight of March 12 and the bandh will be effective in all Gangte dominated areas of the district, it added.
