Nagaland's COVID-19 tally climbed to 11,159 as 44 more persons were confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus on Sunday, official sources said.
Taking to Twitter, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said that the new positive cases were reported from Dimapur (27), Kohima (16) and Tuensang (1).
The state also recorded 174 more recoveries on Sunday, pushing the total recovered cases to 9,898. Of the new recoveries, 140 were from Dimapur, 30 from Kohima, three from Tuensang and one from Phek, the health minister posted on Twitter.
"Update! 44 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today. Dimapur- 27, Kohima- 16, Tuensang- 1. Also, 174 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur- 140, Kohima- 30, Tuensang- 3, Phek- 1. Total +ve cases- 11159 Recovered- 9898 Active Cases- 1087" Phom tweeted on Sunday evening.
While there are 1,087 active cases, the death toll in Nagaland stood at 57, according to the state health department.
