India's daily COVID-19 death tally falls below 500 mark

India's total number of Coronavirus cases surged to 82,29,313 on Monday.

Along with 45,231 new COVID-19 positive cases, India's total number of coronavirus cases surged to 82,29,313 on Monday.

The number of deaths reported daily due to the infectious disease has fallen below 500 and the recovery rate has increased up to 91.68 per cent. In the past 24 hours, 496 casualties were reported and the total number of deaths in the country is 1,22,607.

The cumulative number of recovered cases rose to 75,44,798, as 53,285 were discharged on Monday. The number of active cases in the country is 5,61,908.

The total number of passengers screened at airport is 15,24,266. A total of 8,55,800 samples were tested on Monday. The total number of samples tested so far is 11,07,43,103.
