The entire office building of SBI Thoubal branch has been closed for 48 hours with immediate effect from Wednesday as an employee of the branch has been tested COVID-19 positive.

Thoubal deputy commissioner Nongmaithem Bandana issued the closure order on Wednesday in view of the impending threat of COVID-19 spread in the areas.
The order further added that all primary contacts of the positive person were directed to report to the District Surveillance Officer, Thoubal for necessary contact tracing exercise.
As per the order,the SBI branch manager was also directed to disinfect the entire building as per the protocol before resuming office.
