He said that government school teachers are academically qualified and had pursued teachers’ training as well. But their knowledge has become defunct like a blunt knife due to not utilising effectively in the absence of students in their respective schools.
Parents usually face immense financial hardships to educate their children as the economy of the state is poor. Considering this, the state government is putting tireless efforts to improve the deplorable condition of the government schools by implementing programmes like 'School Fagathansi Mission’, he added.
In comparison to past few years, government schools have improved tremendously and parents should enroll their children in government schools to lower their financial burden, Rajen appealed.

The programme was also attended by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Letpao Haokip; Agriculture and Tourism Minister O Lukhoi; CAF and PD Minister Th Satyavrata; and Education commissioner M Harekrishna as president and guests of honour respectively.
