As many as 24 Myanmar nationals were caught with fake Aadhaar cards at Army Checkpoint, Khudengthabi in Tengnoupal district, Manipur on Thursday, sources said.
The 24 arrested Myanmarese, including 14 females, seven males and three minors, were travelling in three passenger vehicles (Eeco Vans) when the personnel of 20 Assam Rifles at Khudengthabi caught them around 3 pm, October 5, the sources said.
Khudengthabi Army Check Point is located along Moreh-Imphal road in Tengnoupal district, Manipur on India-Myanmar border.

They were accompanied by one Daniel Vanlalawma, son of Pothawmna, resident of Bulin Champhai Mizoram and travelling to Churachandpur, Manipur.
Of the 24 Myanmarese, 21 were found possessing fake or forged Aadhaar cards; nine of them were from Mungswa, Khutan village, Myanmar and the other 15 belonged to Butalen and Toyero village Myanmar.
Daniel Vanlalawma, who accompanied the Myanmar nationals, and three drivers who ferried the Myanmar nationals were also arrested.

The three drivers are identified as Thangkhochon Sitlhou ,30, son of Satkholal Sitlhou, Koite Village, Churachandpur; Lamkholal , 27, son of Lhukam of N Molhoi village, Churachandpur and Monthang , 42, year, son of Dearson of Teiseng Village, Churachandpur. They were driving a Grey colour Eeco Van, MN-06LB 3696; red colour Eeco Van, MN-028 2370 and a blue colour Eeco MN-O4P 0840, police sources said.
An FIR No. 45(10)2021, MRH-PS, U/S 468/471, IPC, 51 (b) D.M.Act & 14 F Act was registered at Moreh police station for further legal process, the police added.
