Manik Saha sworn in as Tripura chief minister for second term

Eight other ministers, including Bikash Debbarma, Pranjit Singha Roy, Ratan Lal Nath, Santana Chakma, Sushanta Chowdhury, Sudhanshu Das, Shukla Charan Noatia and Tinku Roy, were also sworn in along with the chief minister on Wednesday.

Manik Saha was on Wednesday sworn in as the chief Minister of Tripura for the consecutive second term in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, chief ministers of Northeast states and other dignitaries.

Eight other ministers, including Bikash Debbarma, Pranjit Singha Roy, Ratan Lal Nath, Santana Chakma, Sushanta Chowdhury, Sudhanshu Das, Shukla Charan Noatia and Tinku Roy, were also sworn in along with the chief minister.

"With the blessings of Maa Tripurasundari, took oath as the Chief Minister of Tripura in the glorious presence of Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, Hon'ble HM Shri @AmitShah ji, Honble @BJP4India President Shri @JPNadda ji in Agartala today," Manik Saha tweeted.

The newly sworn in chief minister assured to serve the  people of Tripura with renewed dedication.

"Under the guidance of Hon'ble PM, our govt will continue to serve the people of Tripura with renewed dedication to fulfill their aspirations & ensure overall development & prosperity of the state. We are committed to building Unnata Tripura, Shrestha Tripura," Saha said in another tweet.

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khanda, Manipur CM N Biren Singh and Sikkim CM PS Tamang were also present in the swearing-in ceremony.
