A total of 100 individuals who were among the age groups of 18 to 44 years and above 65 years were vaccinated during the programme.
With 20 new positive cases detected from mass screening and another one new positive case detected through contact tracing, the total active cases surged to 65.
The present need of the hour is not unscientific large scale mass testing but focussed testing on those having symptoms or are primary contacts identified through robust contact tracing.
