All Manipur Mid-Day Meal Workers’ Union will join the nationwide protest on December 11 demanding increase in honorarium for mid-day meal workers.
The union cautioned that it will cease work and stop cooking food from the 11th day if the demand for clearing the pending honorarium for 15 months is not fulfilled within 10 days.
Manipur Mid-Day Meal Workers’ Union to continue cease work strike until full honorarium of 19 months in total is cleared.
Honorarium of mid-day meal workers has been due for 11 months since September, 2020, the union stated in a release.
The All India Trade Union Congress, Manipur State Committee warned of various agitations if the demand is not materialised.
