The convict Shamurailatpam Tomba Sharma, 35, son of Sh Ibotombi Sharma of Yairipok Top Makha Leikai was convicted for commiting the offence of aggravated sexual assault which is punishable under section 6 of POCSO Act, 2012 on May 11.
The court, after considering the nature and seriousness of the allegation, stated that a proper and thorough investigation of the case is needed.
