YWC Langthbala posted 96 runs win over AKSDO Khangabok in the 1st MNCA Under 14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 played at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part IV, Imphal West.
Middle order batsman Y.Achouba turned the table for YWC as hit 43 runs to bring up a respectable total of 157 runs for 10 wickets from 24.1 overs. Y Athouba got 17 runs. AKSDO bowlers Bidyananda N and Dinesh S claimed 4 wickets each.
AKSDO Khangabok batsman struggled in their reply as none of the batsmen could cross the double figure mark and were bundled out for 61 runs for 10 wickets from 16 overs. YWC bowlers Y.Athouba bagged 4 wickets while Y.Sushil, Y.Brightson got 2 wickets each. YWC player Y.Athouba was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets haul and 17 runs knock.
In the other match played at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi, ESU Wangkhei Palace Compound beat YPHU Lalambung by 6 wickets. YPHU batsman built up 96 runs for 10 wickets from 21.5 overs with Bisal Ningombam topscoring with 20 runs. ESU bowlers H.Naoba Sharma claimed 5 wickets while Th.Simesh and S.Sayonba took 2 wickets each.
In reply, ESU batsman reached the target in 14.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets, A.Jenash hitting 44 runs while M.Amitkiyon remained unbeaten with 30 runs for the victory. YPHU bowler Birbal Irom claimed 3 wickets while Bisal took 1 wicket. H.Naoba was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets haul and 5 runs.
