Elangbam Thoicha Devi claimed the gold medal of the Junior Girls 46 kg in the State Level Boxing Championship 2021 organised by MABA at Boxing Ring, Khuman Lampak.
In the final match, Thoicha Devi of Thoubal relatively had an easy game against L Phonia Devi of Imphal East, as she conquered it by 5-0 point for the gold medal. In the Junior Girl 52 kg bout, Th Premeshowri Devi of Imphal West beat H Karuna of Thoubal by 3-2 points for the gold and silver medals.
The Elite Men 54 kg bout witnessed L Julet Singh of Thoubal outpunched N Amarjit Singh of Bishnupur as the referee stopped the contest in the first round in favour of Julet for the gold medal.
Gold medal winners in the Elite Men category are Ng Sunil of Bishnupur in 75 kg and Ch Kirankumar of Imphal East in 67 kg As for the Junior Boys, Tompok Th of Thoubal in 50 kg and Kh Bikash of Bishnupur in 54 kg took the gold medal.
The Sub-Junior Boys saw M Nikison of Imphal East in 46 kg and Ngamba Longjam of Imphal West in 52 kg landed the gold medal. In the Youth Men 57 kg bout, Boychand Baite of Kangpokpi and Th Leninson of Imphal West in 60 kg claimed the gold medal.
