Oscar Paona Bazar and KIYC ended in a tie to share a point each in the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament 2023-24.

Oscar Paona Bazar bowler Rinku rattled KIYC batsmen’s morale, capturing six wickets but the match ended in a tie to share a point each in the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament 2023-24 played at Lairenjam Public Ground.

Winning the toss, Oscar Paona Bazar opted to bowl first where they managed to restrict KIYC Kshetrigao by 133 runs for 10 wickets from 19.4 overs.

The standout innings of KIYC was from Geetchandra who remained not out with 33 runs off 24 balls while Rajiv got 23 runs. Rinku claimed 6 wickets for 56 runs from 6.4 overs.

In reply, Oscar made 133 runs for 10 wickets from 27.4 overs with skipper Sanju making 34 runs while Bijendro made 26 runs, to end the match in a tie, sharing one point each.

KIYC bowler Rajiv took 5 wickets for 19 runs from 7.4 overs while Sanson got 18 runs. Oscar bowler Rinku was adjudged Man of the Match for his 6 wickets.

IBSA Yumnam Leikai also emerged victorious beating Shadow Thangmeiband by 1 wicket played at Public Ground Khangabok, Cherapur.

Batting first, Shadow made a low score of 91 runs for 10 wickets from 18.1 overs with James making 22 runs and Reolin batted 22 runs as well. IBSA bowler Pravesh bagged 5 wickets while Bhumendro got 3 wickets.

Chasing the goal, IBSA reached the target in 28.3 overs at the expense of 9 wickets from 28.3 overs. Opener Nelson top scored with 29 runs for the victory. Shadow bowler Lanchenba and Reolin fetched 3 wickets each. Later, Pravesh took the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets. 

In the match played at Moijing Public Ground, SSU beat KCDO by 3 wickets. KCDO put up a low score of 82 runs for 10 wickets from 21.4 overs while in reply, SSU reached the target in 15.1 overs for 2 wickets.

SSU player Deepankar was declared the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets and 28 runs knock. 

CDCC Sagoland also registered a massive 212 runs wins against YPHUC Lalambung played at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou. 

CDCC scored 273 runs for 9 wickets from 40 overs with Priyojit making 55 runs while Jodiba contributed 52 runs. YPHUC bowler Birbal claimed 3 wickets.

In reply, YHPUC could manage just 61 runs for 10 wickets from 24.1 overs. Jodiba claimed 5 wickets for 5 runs from 8 overs and bagged the Man of the Match.
