Night tourney: Six teams enter Semi-League round

After Twilang Area Sporting Association, SMT Haipi, Kholjang Youth Club, and Tusam Area Youth Welfare Association Saikul sailed through to the semi-final league round, KMT Khongngam and Lalcha Memorial Team also made it to the semi final league round.

As the quarterfinals round culminated on Thursday night, altogether six teams sailed through to the semi-league round in the ongoing Kuki Football Academy's Open Night Football Tournament at D Phaihel village.

After Twilang Area Sporting Association, SMT Haipi, Kholjang Youth Club, and Tusam Area Youth Welfare Association Saikul sailed through to the semi-final league round, KMT Khongngam and Lalcha Memorial Team also made it to the semi final league round on Thursday after defeating their respective opponents.

KMT Khongngam dubbed Chalbung Junior 3-1 in the first match to seal the last-second spot in the semi final league round. Tongminhao doubled in the 18th and 29th minutes and Seiminthang's goal in the 66th minutes ended the journey of Chalbung Junior in the quarterfinal round despite Thangginlun pulling back a goal for Chalbung Junior in the 39th minute.

In the second match, the contender Motbung Youth Club A team led by an experienced player Paolenlal better known as Paonaldo had a goalless draw with Lalcha Memorial Team during the normal time and the winner was decided via tie break.

Lalcha Memorial Team won the match 4-3 in the tie break to move forward in the semifinals league round ending the beautiful journey of the Motbung YC A team in the tournament. The semifinal league round will begin on November 27 evening.
