NCA Ningthoukhong, YWC Patsoi and Shadow Thangmeiband register wins in MNCA Plate Cricket

NCA Ningthoukhong pacer Robinhood Singh shook the stance of YPHU Lalambung batsman claiming 5 wickets to help his team win in the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament 2023-24.

NCA Ningthoukhong pacer Robinhood Singh shook the stance of YPHU Lalambung batsman claiming 5 wickets to help his team win in the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament 2023-24 played at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III, Cherapur. 

Winning the toss, YPHU decided to bat first but failed to gain good ground and were bowled out for 67 runs in 21.1 overs; middle order batsman Nongthon reached double figures managing 22 runs from 20 balls.

Robinhood was the most lethal bowler for NCA claiming 5 wickets for 25 runs from 6.1 overs while Chourjit and Sadananda took 2 wickets each.

Chasing the target, NCA took little risk and surpassed the target in 11.5 overs for 2 wickets with Siddarth getting an unbeaten 24 runs while Bobby remained not out with 9 runs for the victory. Robinhood was adjudged Man of the Match for his 5 wickets and 25 runs knock.

In the other matches, YWC Patsoi beat Sagolband United by 58 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.

YWC made 195 runs for 9 wickets from 40 overs with Thoungamba cracking a half century while Jagat got 43 runs. Sagolband United bowlers Robin and Rahul claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply, Sagolband United batsmen failed to click as they were all out for 137 runs from 33.3 overs. Kenedy got 24 runs while Robin got 29 runs. YWC bowler Jagat and Yaiphaba bagged 3 wickets each and the former was declared Man of the Match for his 43 runs and 3 wickets.

Shadow Thangmeiband registered a 4-wicket win over MPA Thounaojam at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou. 

MPA made 139 runs for 10 wickets from 30 overs while in reply, Shadow reached the target in 25.2 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Shadow player Reolin took the Man of the Match for his 43 runs and 3 wickets.
