National sub-junior women hockey: Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana pull off huge wins

In a Pool D match, Hockey Association of Odisha blanked Hockey Uttarakhand by 5-0 goals.

Hockey Jharkhand outplayed Hockey Kerala by 10-0 goals in the12th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship 2022 played at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

Jharkhand had a cool approach to the game, taking time in reading Kerala strategy but nevertheless they found the opening in the 4th minute of play with Sweety Dungdung making a field goal for the lead. The Kerala girl had a hard time catching up with the maneuvering style of Jharkhand and latter continued to enjoy the game, finding the second goal from skipper Balo Horo in 23 minute.

Jharkhand were particularly severe in the third and fourth quarter as they pushed home three and five respectively for the huge win from Pool B. Skipper Balo Haro added four more goals while Binima Dhan and Nisha Minj fetched two goals each.

In a Pool D match, Hockey Association of Odisha blanked Hockey Uttarakhand by 5-0 goals. Puja Ramchhuria, Supriya Kujur, Ashima Rout, Priyanka Kujur and Surekha Bahala scored a goal each.

As for the Pool C match between Uttar Pradesh Hockey and Hockey Gujarat, the former routed the latter by 21-0 goals and in Pool A match, Hockey Haryana drubbed Hockey Jammu & Kashmir by 12-0 goals.
