MNCA Elite Tournament: Cyclone Thangmeiband beats Blue Hawk by 4 wickets

Cyclone Thangmeiband player Bikash Singh was adjudged as Man of the Match for his 21 unbeaten run and 3 wickets haul.

Cyclone Thangmeiband clipped the wings of Blue Hawk Khurai by four wickets in the 6th MNCA W Prahalada & W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Blue Hawk winning the toss, opted to bat first where they failed to maintain full throttle except for Sanatomba Singh who swung his bat to make 43 runs from 66 balls, to put up 145 runs for 10 wickets from 34.4 overs. N.Ajit Singh contributed 23 runs while Sunil Salam made 15 runs.

Among Cyclone bowlers, Bikash Singh and K.Homendro proved to be more lethal as they managed 3 wickets each from 7 overs while Th.Akshaykumar and L.Ronald Meitei bagged 2 wickets each.

Chasing the target, Cyclone batsman managed to get a fair hit to the ball with opener Narsing Yadav making 19 runs while Janpu Kamei got 30 runs, for a smooth foundation. Later L.Ronald cracked 27 runs while Bikash Singh made an unbeaten 21 runs for the victory, losing 6 wickets from the process in 33.4 overs.

Blue Hawk bowlers Jitendra Bishan Thakur, Sunil Salam claimed 2 wickets each while W.Samson and M Pritam fetched 1 wickets each. Later Cyclone Thangmeiband player Bikash Singh was adjudged as Man of the Match for his 21 unbeaten run and 3 wickets haul.
