IBSA Yumnam Leikai pulled off a 28-run over KIYC Kshetrigao in the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament 2023-24 played at Lairenjam Public Ground.
IBSA middle order batsman Riyaz contributed 31 runs while Bhumendro’s 21-run effort saw them to 157 runs for 10 wickets in 37.5 overs; opener Nelson also got 21 runs. KIYC bowler took 4 wickets for 39 runs while Abdulla claimed 2 wickets.
KIYC tailender batsman Abdulla's last-ditch effort of 46 unbeaten runs failed to save the match as they were bowled out for 129 runs in 23.2 overs; IBSA bowler Tanin bagged 4 wickets for 16 runs and was declared the Man of the Match.
SDC also brought up a 48 runs win against YPHUC Lalambung played at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
The SDC opener did a brilliant job with Subhash Chandra making 87 runs while Rahis Khan got 73 runs to pile up 248 runs for 3 wickets from 38 overs. YPHUC bowler Vedanth took 2 wickets.
In reply, YPHUC's die hard approach saw them making 200 runs for 10 wickets from 35.3 overs. Sunny Irom made 39 runs while Birbal Irom got 40 runs and S. Robinson made 34 runs. SDC bowler Donny took 3 wickets while Krishnakanta and Vishal got 2 wickets each. SDC batsman Subashchandra took the Man of the Match for his 87 runs.
