The Durand Cup 2022 theme song teaser has been released, while the theme song that "captures the love for the oldest football competition" will be released on August 16.
Also, the 131st edition of Asia’s oldest football championship will feature live performances by Papon and Rewben Mashangva in Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal on 16, 17, 18 respectively.

Manipur is co-hosting the Durand Cup (Group - C matches) for the first time, and in a first, the historic football tournament is being held in three different states - West Bengal, Assam and Manipur.
Chennaiyin FC, Hyderabad FC, NEROCA FC, TRAU FC and Army Red FT are in the Group - C of the tournament and the Manipur chapter of the tournament will kick off with the much awaited Manipur derby between NEROCA FC and TRAU FC at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium at 6 pm on August 18. A total of 10 league matches will be played in Imphal.
The Durand Cup 2022 will be played at five venues of Khuman Lampak Stadium (Imphal), Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium (Guwahati), Naihati Stadium (Naihati), Kishore Bharati Krirangan and Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Kolkata).
This year, Sports18 will be the offical broadcaster for live telecast of the IndianOil Durand Cup 2022.
