Cyclone Thangmeiband bags Veteran T-20 Tournament title

Cyclone Thangmeiband outwitted Napsa Kha Imphal by 8 wickets to clinch the Champion title of the 11th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2024.

Cyclone Thangmeiband outwitted Napsa Kha Imphal by 8 wickets to clinch the Champion title of the 11th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2024 played at Langthabal Public Ground, Imphal West. 

Cyclone Thangmeiband wore a disciplined look and took chances as they sent Napsa Kha Imphal to bat first, where the latter managed 159/6 from 20 overs. 

Napsa top order Bhogendro got 34 runs from 17 balls while Simon made 36 runs and Premananda hit 28 runs. Cyclone bowler Tarun was impressive as he collected 2 wickets while Tiken, Rohindro and Lamnganba fetched 1 wicket each. 

Chasing the target, Cyclone opener Tarun broke loose as he slammed 69 runs while Robinson cracked an unbeaten 63 runs to reach the target in 16.1 overs for 2 wickets. Rohindro remained not out with 2 runs. Napsa bowler Johni and Bhogendro took 1 wicket each. 

Cyclone player Tarun was declared Man of the Final Match for his 69 runs and 2 wickets. He also bagged the Man of the Series award for his 8 wickets and 198 runs. 

The Highest Run Scorer title was claimed by Dhaneshor of Shadow Thangmeiband for his 304 runs while Johni of Napsa Kha Imphal got the Highest Wicket Taker for 12 wickets haul. Losing semi finalists KCC Kongba and YWC Langthabal were also feted with mementos.
